More than 150 people attended the Kapolei Chamber of Commerce luncheon on March 18 to hear Governor Neil Abercrombie speak about his first 100 days in office and to learn about Hawaiian Electric’s clean energy progress from Scott Seu, HECO’s vice president of Energy Resources.  Governor Abercrombie spoke about restoring critical government services to provide better service to the public.  He also discussed projects designed to stimulate the economy which included improvements for West Oahu schools.  The Governor also fielded questions from the audience in an effort to learn what he can do to help Kapolei as well as the entire state. Scott Seu of Hawaiian Electric provided an update on HECO's progress on meeting its clean energy goals and described specific renewable energy projects being planned in the Kapolei area.
